Structural Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop structural plans using industry-standard software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, ArchiCAD, etc.)
• Collaborate with clients, architects, and internal teams to define project scope and ensure constructability
• Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress, verify adherence to specifications, and maintain safety compliance
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and project execution
• Analyze technical data and design calculations to support engineering decisions
• Provide technical guidance on structural systems, construction methods, and repair strategies
• Identify project risks early and propose solutions to minimize delays or disruptions
• Prepare accurate material, labor, and cost estimates to evaluate project feasibility
• Draft and assemble proposal documents for new projects and bids

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering
• Proficient in engineering and drafting software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and ArchiCAD
• Strong interest and intent to pursue Professional Engineer (PE) licensure in the State of Wisconsin
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• 5+ years of structural engineering experience in commercial, industrial, or mixed-use projects (preferred)
• Experience with pre-engineered steel building system (preferred)
• Solid understanding of Wisconsin State Building Codes and local permitting regulations (preferred)
• Practical, hands-on knowledge of construction methods and field operations (preferred)
