Responsibilities:
- Serve as an Area Lead, supervising engineers and designers under the Discipline Lead Engineer.
- Develop and review specifications, design criteria, and engineering analyses.
- Provide technical solutions to complex problems in line with project requirements.
- Coordinate with other disciplines, project management, vendors, and clients.
- Ensure work complies with project quality plans, scope, cost, and schedule baselines.
- Prepare estimates, schedules, progress reports, and staff forecasting.
- Oversee procurement activities, including technical bid evaluations and vendor submittals.
- Support construction administration, responding to RFIs and field changes.
- Perform work per federal, state, and local codes and standards.
- Execute engineering tasks using 3D modeling, CADD, and structural design software.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering with 10+ years of experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Expertise in structural calculations, including foundations, concrete, and steel structures.
- Proficiency in STAAD, STAADPro, RISA3D, and Mathcad.
- Knowledge of wind/seismic loading, dynamic analysis, and computer modeling.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience in EPC projects for industrial, nuclear, or government facilities.
- Familiarity with ASME NQA-1 and nuclear facility design standards.
- Preferred experience in DOE, pharmaceutical, or biotech projects.
