Job Description and Responsibilities: The position requires 12+ years of fundamental AASHTO bridge design experience, familiarity with NJDOT and NJTA design standards, LRFD design and LRFR load rating methodologies and current state of practice such as accelerated bridge construction and prefabricated bridge elements, is preferred. Additional requirements include:
• BS degree in Civil Engineering (MS preferred).
• NJ Professional Engineer's license.
• Experience working on bridge surface transportation projects.
• Building investigations/forensics, shoring/sheeting analyses.
• Experience with new and repurposed educational and medical facilities.
• Building framing such as residential, parking garages and commercial facilities.
• Administrative and technical experience working with regulatory agencies to assist
• clients dealing with local, state and federal permitting.
• Sound oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to bring in new work.
• Proficiency using CADD (MicroStation and/or AutoCAD) along with various
• structural/civil design software applications.
• Practical experience using BIM and/or Revit platforms.
• Desire to work in a collaborative environment. Benefits:
