Position Title:

Structural Engineer (Entry-Level / EIT)

Location:

Cincinnati, OH

Job Type: Full-Time Hybrid Flexibility

About the Opportunity

A locally rooted, employee-owned structural engineering firm is looking for a new or recent graduate to join its team as an Entry-Level Structural Engineer. This is an excellent role for a civil engineering major with a structural focus who's ready to launch their career and gain exposure to every stage of the design and construction process.

You'll work side-by-side with experienced engineers on active projects from day one-contributing to real work, participating in site visits, and building both your technical foundation and project confidence. This role is built for someone who wants to do more than mark up redlines and who's excited to grow with a company that takes pride in mentoring new talent.

What You'll Do

  • Support design of structural systems including steel, concrete, masonry, and wood
  • Draft technical drawings and models using Revit and other industry-standard tools
  • Collaborate with senior engineers on real-world commercial and institutional building projects
  • Assist with calculations, reports, construction documents, and technical detailing
  • Sit in on client meetings, site visits, and cross-disciplinary coordination
  • Contribute to internal QA/QC and stay engaged in each step of project delivery

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with structural coursework completed
  • Internship or co-op experience in structural engineering or construction preferred
  • EIT certification or plans to obtain within 12 months
  • Exposure to or interest in Revit/BIM workflows (training provided)
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a collaborative team
  • Passion for structural design and curiosity to learn from hands-on experience
  • Based in the Cincinnati area or planning to stay post-graduation

Why It's a Great Fit for New Grads

  • You'll work on real projects from the start-not just behind the scenes
  • You'll be mentored by licensed engineers who invest in your development
  • You'll get site exposure and understand how drawings translate to real construction
  • You'll have a voice in meetings, design conversations, and technical reviews
  • You'll grow here-this isn't just a job, it's a long-term launchpad

Perks & Benefits

  • Hourly compensation with time-and-a-half pay for any hours over 40
  • 100% company-paid health insurance (employee + family)
  • 401(k) with partial company match
  • Year-end performance bonus
  • Paid time off + flexible hours
  • Hybrid work setup
  • A collaborative, friendly team that values initiative and integrity
