Responsibilities:
- Ability to manage multiple, highly complex projects and teams.
- Establish and formulate the parameters of the design work, according to the Scope of Work.
- Direct or participate in the planning, design, or review of structural facilities.
- Design and perform calculations and /or analysis of structural steel and concrete foundations and supporting structures.
- Maintain project files and organize drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
- Communicate with other disciplines to ensure coordination of construction documents.
- Review shop drawing submittals to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Coordinate with other PM's, Architect, Design Professionals, other disciplines, Owner, Contractors to ensure necessary processes will be supported.
- Supervise Structural Engineer II and Structural Engineer I in project development and assignments.
- Communicate scope changes to project executive and project team.
- Conduct site visits for field measuring and verification of existing conditions.
- Maintain continuing professional education in discipline.
- Perform related duties as required.
Qualifications / Experience Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Master's degree preferred.
- Maintain PE or SE License.
- 10+ years of related experience in the structural engineering field focusing on Automotive and Industrial facility design.
- Understanding of Structural engineering processes and principles for creation of design documents, drawings, and models.
- Understanding of applicable design standards and building codes.
- Technical knowledge of structural computer programs - Experienced in MS Office programs, Bluebeam, Risa, RAM, SAP 2000, Autodesk software, knowledge of Revit.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
