Responsibilities:
- Design and perform calculations of structural steel and concrete structures.
- Maintain and organize drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
- Coordinate with other disciplines i.e., architectural, mechanical, electrical, to ensure coordination of construction documents.
- Review shop drawing submittals to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Coordinate with PM, Architect, Design Professionals, other disciplines, Owner, Contractors to ensure necessary processes will be supported.
- Communicate scope changes to PM/supervisor and project team.
- Conduct site visits for field measuring and verification of existing conditions.
- Maintain continuing professional education in discipline.
- Take part in client contact and business development opportunities
- Meet with clients to determine project scope.
- May supervise, coordinate, or review the work of a team of engineers.
- Perform related duties as required.
Qualifications / Experience Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- PE or SE license or be willing to obtain.
- Five years of related experience in the structural engineering field focusing on Industrial facility design.
- Understanding of Structural engineering processes and principles for creation of design documents, drawings, and models.
- Understanding of applicable design standards and building codes.
- Technical knowledge of structural computer programs - Experienced in MS Office programs, Bluebeam, Risa, RAM Steel, SAP 2000, Autodesk software, knowledge of Revit.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
