Join us as an associate manager in the structural dynamics team. As an Associate Manager in the Structural Analysis Department, you will ensure technical program requirements are met and products are delivered on time and within budget. You will have a background in performing preliminary and detailed level dynamic analysis of spacecraft flight structures using advanced methods and tools. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
• Managing a group of dynamic and structural analysts that supporting the NGI program.
• Providing oversight, mentoring, career development, and training to 5-8 employees
• Representing the organization in design reviews and to outside contracts/customers
• Supporting dynamic test definition, requirements, monitoring, data reduction, and comparison to analysis while understanding and incorporating other applicable mechanical (thermal, dynamic, materials, etc ) and system level requirements/parameters into the analyses
Basic Qualifications:
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional product development team environment
• Fundamental understanding of aerospace vehicle structures, mechanisms, thermal products, materials and processes
• Experience with aerospace vehicle flight hardware design, analysis, manufacture, or test and integration
• Demonstrated ability to drive hardware production activities through delivery to the program
•Extensive experience with spacecraft dynamic /acoustic test methods including classical hand calculations and experience with mechanical joints
•Proficiency in application of finite element analysis principles as well as rigid and flexible body lumped-parameters
•Experience with NASTRAN static and dynamic solutions and finite element modeling using NX or equivalent
• Experience leading a team including the ability to organize, motivate, and lead groups of engineering personnel.
Desired Skills:
• A Master's degree is strongly preferred for this position
• Ability to work in a collaborative and highly integrated team environment
• Ability and desire to assume ownership of tasks and drive to closure quickly and efficiently
•Experience evaluating designs using rigid body or flexible body analysis methods and tools
• Mechanisms, antenna, electronic component, ground support, hoisting, and test support equipment, and composite materials analysis experience
• Experience withNX/Nastran, Abaqus, ADAMS, LS-Dyna, Matlab, Mathcad and CREO
• Static, vibration, acoustic, modal, shock test experience of aerospace flight hardware
•Creativity/innovation to tackle issues related to anomalous performance of any aspect of a mechanical system
•Willingness to mentor junior analysts
• Demonstrated full spectrum leadership competencies including communicating with positive impact, developing enduring relationships, making effective decisions, delivering value, building organizational talent, creating an inclusive environment, and being accountable.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
