Category Manager
We are seeking a results-driven Strategic Sourcing Manager to lead strategic sourcing initiatives and optimize supply chain performance across assigned categories. This role is pivotal in driving cost efficiencies, enhancing supplier relationships, and ensuring a resilient and agile supply chain. The Strategic Sourcing Manager will collaborate cross-functionally to maximize cost savings, improve inventory value, and align sourcing strategies with overall business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead multi-site, cross-functional teams to develop and implement spend management strategies.
• Monitor market trends, supply chain capabilities, and industry developments to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.
• Select, develop, and manage suppliers to achieve cost, quality, and performance targets.
• Drive supplier negotiations and contract management to optimize total cost of ownership.
• Foster collaboration with key stakeholders, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure supply continuity and operational excellence.
• Conduct supplier performance reviews and implement improvement plans.
• Support lean initiatives and integrate continuous improvement across the supply base.
• Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or Mechanical Engineering preferred. APICS CPIM/CSCP certification is a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 4 years in a manufacturing or industrial environment with expertise in:
o New product development
o Contract negotiation and supplier management
o Cost reduction and value engineering initiatives
o Cross-functional project leadership
o Supplier consolidation and international sourcing
Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities
