JOB SUMMARY: The Strategic Sourcing Manager is an experienced sourcing professional that oversees all sourcing/procurement related activities and processes associated with the acquisition of products and services, which will include operational store supplies such as chemicals and paper products. This includes requirements gathering, creating, and issuing Request for Proposal (RFP), proposal evaluation, contract negotiations, process oversight, contract drafting and administration. The Sourcing Manager defines sourcing/procurement strategies using a structured sourcing approach leveraging data-driven business insights to support sourcing decisions that will result in significant savings for the company. This role is responsible for developing and implementing procurement best practices, developing sourcing strategies, managing contract life cycle, and building supplier relationships in support of 7-Eleven's key initiatives and growth strategy. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:u2022 Work collaboratively with leadership and stakeholders to understand business needs within category, and define specifications and requirements. u2022 Use data and analysis to develop business insights. Work cross functionally to facilitate decisions and develop sourcing/procurement strategies to mitigate risk, improve performance and cost for designated categories and/or programs.u2022 Identify suppliers and execute sourcing events like competitive RFx events, analyze results and develop the sourcing negotiation strategy. u2022 Negotiate contracts with suppliers to source/procure products or services needed for categories to optimize spend, reduce risk, achieve favorable terms and drive towards optimized total-cost-of-ownership.u2022 Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, contractors, and suppliers to ensure effective execution and implementation and prompt resolution of any issues that may arise. u2022 Stay apprised of market trends and technology advancements, to effectively evaluate the impact of external factors on contractor/supplier performance and the procurement of products.u2022 Prepare reports and provide presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders.u2022 Support supplier business reviews, governance committees, and category strategy meetingsu2022 Identify/interview potential suppliers and determine if supplier is qualified to produce and/or supply products or services. Includes a review of supplier's capabilities, ability to meet deadlines, maintain quality standards, and financial background. Stay up to date on market trends and industry developments.u2022 Recommend high impact projects for existing and emerging products and services that drive meaningful results: reduce cost and risk and improve quality. u2022 Provides general product and services management support to internal business stakeholders. Work with suppliers and cross functional teams during testing of the products or services. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEEDUCATION: Bacheloru2019s degree (or equivalent experience) strongly preferred.YEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 5+ years requiredYEARS OF MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE: 3+ years preferred SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLSu2022 Ability to develop bid analysis and cost models to provide business insights and facilitate informed decision making to develop and implement strategic sourcing/procurement strategies and execution plans.u2022 Supervisory experience a plusu2022 Experience leading sourcing/procurement teams to develop category plans and sourcing strategies, execute RFx events and conduct complex contract negotiations strongly preferred u2022 Demonstrated successful contract and agreement negotiation experience, managing the entire RFQ/RFP process, including development of negotiating plans and strategies is strongly preferred.u2022 Experience and background in store supplies including chemicals, paper goods etc. in retail, food service or restaurants and sourcing/procurement of store supplies in this space strongly preferred. u2022 Forecasting and Demand Planning: Coordinate demand forecasting efforts and support day to day business as needed.u2022 Supply Chain Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve operational and supply chain challenges to ensure timely product availability, consistency and performance.u2022 Supplier & New Item Setup: Support onboarding of new suppliers and product setups, ensuring compliance and efficient integration.u2022 Proficient with MS Office suite - advanced skills in MS Excel, Outlook, and Powerpoint.
