Job Purpose Our unit is responsible for on/off-boarding of all New Hires, Contractors and Co-ops working in the Auto Development Center (ADC). The goal of Self-Directed Learning (SDL) program is to provide a seamless and good first impression of ADC and set up all necessary information and equipment for new hires, contractors and co-ops need to be successful in their roles at ADC. This role will make key decisions around the program and manage the day-to-day activity for the program.
Key Accountabilities - Serve as the primary contact for all new hires, contractors and Co-ops on-boarding activities including delivering presentations, documentation, and coordinating events.
- Continuously reflect on new hire, contractor and Co-op survey feedback, implement correlated countermeasures as required and roll-out/share program changes to management.
- Collaborate with management to set direction and lead execution of program needs including orientation, tours, handouts, and rewards.
- Lead SDL business plan initiatives in alignment with proposed budget.
- Make informed decisions about Program improvements by gathering feedback from ADC Department & Unit leads and other internal customers.
- Make sound decisions regarding on-site program coverage for in-person orientation, tours, rewards and guide program activity with new model operations Contingent Admin.
- Daily management and approvals of SDL SharePoint site, document updates, creation and sign-off.
- Ensure comprehensive onboarding, offboarding process at ADC and manage welcome package content.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills - Bachelor's degree in technical or business areas or equivalent related experience.
- 0-2 years of relevant experience.
- Preferred 5 years of experience in and knowledge of Honda organization and role expectations (on-boarding & orientation activities desired).
- Including experience of supporting multi organizational themes and projects.
- Problem solving analysis.
- Knowledge of Honda Tools, Resources, ADC Organization.
- Planning and Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA).
- Presenting / public speaking.
- Customer Service Oriented; High networking position.
Working Conditions - 5% travel
- Minimal overtime
- High volume of walking and talking
- Willingness and capability to go to the spot and talk to people, external Honda and external ADC
- Hybrid work, 60% on-site, 40% off-site
