Strategic Account Manager - OEM Sales

Are you a dynamic and driven sales professional with a passion for OEM solutions? We're looking for a Strategic Account Manager to join our team. In this role, you will lead key relationships with our OEM partners, driving growth, and developing innovative sales strategies to meet business objectives.


Location: Grand Rapids

What you'll do:

Make sales contacts, research customer needs and develop application of products and services in an effective manner by:

  • Assist in determining market strategies & goals for each product and service
  • Researching and developing lists of potential customers
  • Assist in market research to determine customer needs & providing information sales staff
  • Evaluating product and application of customers' technical & manufacturing needs
  • Following up on sales and applications for potential customers
  • Form strong relationships with each customer that includes regular touch points with all Product Managers, Product Engineers and Marketing Teams which can influence Dekko products.
  • Maintaining up-to-date understanding of industry trends and technical developments that effect target markets
  • Establishing & maintaining industry contacts that lead to sales
  • Working with operations & sales staff to establish a communication path with the customer.
  • Communicate project details to internal teams as well as customer as needed

Develop and participate in sales presentations by:

  • Developing sales proposals for customers on technical products & services
  • Developing technical presentations & workshops
  • Participates in making presentations to OEMs, users, suppliers, etc.
  • Maintaining up-to-date awareness of activities, industry trends & government regulations
  • Establishing long-term, ongoing repeat relationships
  • Meeting established sales quotas and revenue goals
  • Resolving problems with products and services

Participate in sales forecasting and planning in an effective manner by:

  • Researching, developing & maintaining long- & short-range sales & customer plans
  • Producing regular reports & final plans for Manager's approval
  • Maintaining an up-to-date awareness of strategic plans and procedures to coordinate customer plans
  • Monitoring, analyzing, & communicating monthly sales data to contribute to product/service planning

Participate in development of new products, modification of existing products, & termination of ineffective products in an effective and professional manner by:

  • Evaluating product & service marketability
  • Recommending new technical products & product modifications or terminations
  • Gathering analyzing, and sharing customer technical information & feedback
  • Working with other staff to identify future customer needs
  • Determining customer satisfaction with products and services
  • Maintaining an up-to-date working knowledge of newly developing technologies and manufacturing practices

Develop and maintain communications in a cooperative and professional manner with all levels of staff and customers by:

  • Communicating openly, honestly and constructively
  • Treating all employees and customers with dignity, respect and courtesy
  • Taking responsibility for and making every effort to resolve communication, trust and respect concerns and problems
  • Asking for information needed to perform job responsibilities
  • Participating in launch team and launch meetings,
  • Playing role of intermediary to complete product launches timely to meet established goals.

What you'll need:

  • OEM, Furniture sales experience required.
  • Minimum 5 years of sales experience utilizing custom solutions approach
  • Strong communication skills
  • 4-year college degree with a focus on a technical or engineering major
