Store Manager

To take ownership and responsibility for the achievement of store target and the growth of the business, implementing and maintaining concrete actions in line with Bally Brand strategy. Acting as the Ambassador of the brand to inspire and develop the team to successfully reach quantitative and qualitative targets by providing clients with a unique in-store experience. To ensure operative functioning of the store and correct management of product, visual merchandising, operations and development of human resources in line with company policies and procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities

MANAGING THE STORE
  • Drive the achievement of the annual sales targets/budget/forecast in accordance with the guidelines received by the company
  • Guarantee financial results of the store through effective management and monitoring of margins, stock and personnel costs
  • Optimize the store contribution and monitor personnel costs keeping in line with the set budget and by the KPI's
  • Analyze and monitor KPI'S on a daily, weekly and monthly basis and assign to the team daily individual objectives
  • Guarantee the image of the store (visual merchandising) is of the highest standard at any time according to the Bally brand strategy.
  • Manage store operations: Back of house standards, stock delivery, replenishment and transfers.
  • Comply with all loss prevention quarterly self-audits, monthly cycle counts, incident reporting and monthly inventory reconciliations to ensure annual inventory shrinkage is below company target
  • Push ongoing growth of the store's turnover through regular feedback to the merchants on merchandise, stock availability and sell through analysis
  • Create a Strong Internal Network- Best Practice Exchange to have a 360º view to define winning strategies
  • Guarantee maintenance of store in line with budget requirements
  • Guarantee Health, safety and security regulations are duly accomplished: ongoing control of store security and compliance with procedures
  • Manage administrative tasks and reporting
MANAGING THE PEOPLE
  • Ensure Sales Consultants profiles match accordingly to Bally people value and brand strategy.
  • Manage on going recruitment of top talent within the market to ensure any open positions are filled quickly and efficiently
  • Partner with HR on team structure, team dynamics, team development and the overall needs of their boutique
  • Responsible of the brand and product knowledge of the team, ensure the efficacy of the Induction plan to the new staff and provide constant in-store training sessions to the team
  • Constantly monitor staff conduct and KPI achievements
  • Coach each team member defining specific development plans through monthly touch bases
  • Demonstrate sales leadership by having an active role on the selling floor through client engagement with all clients and ensuring highest level of in store experience is provided and mystery shop goals are met
  • Train and continuously monitor the execution of the Bally selling ceremony to achieve the best quantitative and qualitative business results
  • Take ongoing actions around the motivation of Sales Consultants according to the sales and brand strategy and acting as their mentor
  • Guarantee an optimum relay of information within the store and an excellent and transparent ascending and descending communication flow
  • Guarantee the team is complying with Grooming Standards at all times
  • Ensure the appropriate staff coverage in the store and holiday plan
MANAGING THE CLIENT AND MARKET
  • Act as the Ambassador for the brand within the market
  • Develop and promote loyal clientele through concrete initiatives leveraging all clienteling tools (client book, CRM ) according to the sales and brand strategy (client-telling).
  • Consistently establish relationships through networking in the market and propose local events that promote high client attendance and strong sales results
  • Ensure the Bally customer is receiving a unique experience and satisfaction in line with Bally Brand guidelines
  • Responsible for the development of the stores external relations within its competitive environment - marketing, merchandising, local activities etc.
  • Proactively follow current fashion trends, industry news, technology, and key competitors in the market

Role objectives

The Assistant Store Manager is an ambassador of BALLY. You will take ownership of the business along with your store manager to maximize store productivity and profitability in "The BALLY Way" by growing, developing and leading your team.

Duties and responsibilities

As an Assistant Store Manager at BALLY you will support your Store Manager in managing the team and store operations to ensure achievement of targets and the development of all store staff. Your duties will include but are not limited to:

Leadership & Management:
  • Coach, mentor and develop the store staff, including Sales Consultants and Senior Sales Consultants.
  • Manage, motivate and up-skill the team to achieve key performance indicators including individual sales targets, mysteryshopping, AVT, and IPT in collaboration with Japan and regional trainers.
  • Support your Store Manager in recruitment, evaluation and career development of your team in collaboration with Human Resources Business Partner, Japan.
  • Training and development of the Sales Consultants in order to ensure up-to- date productinformation and subsequent success in business results.
Network & ClientManagement:
  • Foster a client centric team who developand promote a loyal clienteleaccording to salesand brand strategy.
  • Act as the ambassador for BALLY within your market,including being responsible along with your Store Manager for the relationship of your store with the internal and external environment. This includes collaborating with head office teamsto support and be involvedin local campaignsand activities.
  • Keep informed of the market including our competitor strategy and the voices of our clients.
Store Operations:
  • Achieve store sales targets in accordance with budget and be agile in order to continue to grow your store and the BALLY brand and optimize the contribution of your store.
  • Optimize the client experience by ensuring your team are prioritizing clientsat all times and ensuringan adequate team member to client ratio.
  • Ensure store is kept clean and presentable at all times including collaborating with externalcleaning vendors.
  • Ensure timely implementation of all traininginitiatives and subsequent maintenance in collaboration US Corporate team and HQ.
  • Monitor objectives and sales targets according to budget/forecasts on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
  • Ensure productive, fair and cost efficient rostering of employees with the aim of maximizing team members on the salesfloor during peak sales periodsand promotional periods.
  • Monitor all expenses and costs within your store in order to achieve positive store contribution and be in line with the budget, including personnel costs, shrinkageand margins.
  • Ensure store is maintained in line with budget, includingorganizing electricians and contractors to replace lightingand repair store fixtures.
  • Identify and suggest where BALLY can invest in order to grow your store and the widerto the General Manager.
  • Manage store inventory including replenishment, and collaborate with head office teams to conductstock inventory and visual merchandising changes.
  • Ensure compliance in security procedures.
  • Regular and ad hoc management of administration tasks and reporting on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
