Overview: As a dedicated Store General Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving the success of our team and store. Your focus on excellence in performance and customer service will set a high standard. By providing continuous coaching and training to your team, you will help meet company objectives, enhance revenue, and develop their skills while demonstrating strong leadership. You will report directly to the District Director of Operations and take charge of local marketing efforts, champion store security and loss prevention, ensure compliance with quality standards, and review transactions to create a culture of growth and innovation.
Responsibilities: - Coach and lead your team to acquire new business and stimulate store growth through comprehensive training and understanding of company systems, standards, and performance metrics.
- Drive local marketing initiatives by demonstrating effective business partnerships, obtaining referrals, and actively participating in community events and in-store promotions to increase revenue.
- Enforce adherence to quality standards, procedures, and all relevant regulations by auditing loan and pawn transactions to ensure compliance and participating in compliance reviews as required.
- Manage store security by overseeing cash management, documenting cash variances, and ensuring proper opening and closing procedures.
- Evaluate and process loan and pawn applications, assessing risks within established limits.
- Take part in the recruitment process and the development of new team members. Create work schedules that match budget and store needs, ensuring the store is fully staffed for peak performance.
- Address and resolve complex customer situations with professionalism and integrity.
- Maintain a tidy internal and external store appearance, addressing facilities needs and ensuring promotional materials are displayed properly.
- Thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, effectively multitasking to meet individual and team performance goals.
- Utilize strong communication skills to engage with customers and team members at all levels.
- Commit to a full-time work schedule, including weekends, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
Qualifications: - High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of two years of supervisory or leadership experience in retail, financial services, or related fields.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in using phones, Point of Sale systems, Microsoft Office, and other relevant systems.
- Must possess a valid driver's license, auto insurance, and a personal vehicle for work-related travel (mileage compensated).
- Must be at least 18 years old (19 in Alabama).
- Background check is required.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including standing for extended periods, moving up to 25 pounds, and operating mechanical controls such as a keyboard.
Preferred Qualifications: - Associate degree or higher.
- Experience in check cashing, document verification, and money order processing.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus and may be required for specific locations.
