Position Title: Storage Solutions Engineer Location: Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO Relocation Assistance: None available at this time Remote/Telework: NO - Not available for this position Clearance Required: Must have or be able to obtain an active DoD Secret clearance Work Schedule: Day shift Travel: Up to 10% of the time Position Summary: Aegis Aerospace is seeking a Storage Solutions Engineer to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) under the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. This role is responsible for implementing and maintaining high-performance storage systems and infrastructure in a virtualized environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with SAN, NAS, cloud storage, and backup solutions in support of mission-critical operations. Key Responsibilities: Install, configure, and troubleshoot storage solutions, servers, and peripherals in Linux or Windows virtualized environments Monitor and optimize storage performance, identifying issues and applying corrective actions Conduct root cause analysis and support integration teams with complex problem-solving Communicate task updates and troubleshooting status to team leads and stakeholders Perform storage capacity planning to support future growth and mission needs Collaborate with hardware/software vendors and internal stakeholders to support system functionality Maintain backup material delivery procedures and recovery readiness Utilize REMEDY ticketing system for issue tracking and resolution lifecycle documentation Support planning and execution of storage-related projects to meet mission-critical deadlines Minimum Qualifications: Must be a US citizen Must have or be able to obtain an active DoD Secret clearance Must hold a current DoD 8570 Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE) Education and experience combinations (one of the following):High school diploma or GED and 12 years of general experience, Associate degree and 10 years of general experience, Bachelor's degree and 8 years of general experience, Master's degree and 6 years of general experience Minimum of 7 years of direct IT systems experience, including system installation, configuration, and troubleshooting Minimum of 1 year in a leadership or management role Strong knowledge of SAN, NAS, cloud storage, and backup technologies Experience with storage protocols including iSCSI, FC, NFS, and SMB Familiarity with tools such as 3PAR, Nimble, NetApp, EMC, Dell, or IBM VMware experience including server/system deployment and configuration RHEL 7 and 8 administration experience using CLI Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills for complex system issues Desired Qualifications: Active Secret or above Department of Defense security clearance Experience with NetApp and/or Veeam storage solutions Familiarity with Missile Defense, DoD communications, and MDIOC operations Knowledge of HPE Alletra 5000, 6000, and 9000 series storage solutions Degree in IT or engineering-related discipline Compensation: Salary Range: $100,700 - $125,000.00 annually.
