What You'll Be Doing We're seeking multiple experienced Storage & Backup Operations Engineers to drive our global technical operations of Storage & Backups within our Infrastructure Hosting Platform. You'll be at the forefront of developing and supporting the engineering and operations of Storage and Backup Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) capabilities hosted both on-premises and in Public Cloud.
You will work in our Infrastructure Hosting Platform area leading the global technical operations of Storage and Backup capabilities for Lilly. Additionally, you would be working with the Storage Engineering team on strategy for on-premises private cloud and public IaaS Storage Block and Files services.
This role will strive to improve our Storage and Backup infrastructure service Our goal is to improve all aspects of our infrastructure availability and reliability through repeatable patterns, new architectural designs, improvements in observability to prevent outages to help increase value across the organization. The role will work with our global Lilly operations SMEs and other platform infrastructure operations SME to deliver the daily operations associated with this area.

What You Should Bring - Technical expertise and leadership skills to transform ideas and concepts into operational solutions.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Dell SAN storage and backup solutions in a large-scale enterprise environment.
- Cloud certifications are advantageous, or support for development is available.
- Technical leadership supporting enterprise grade infrastructure solutions and leading the deployment at multiple global locations.
- Strong Hands-on experience performing troubleshooting storage platform administration with automated infrastructure availability and resiliency at enterprise scale up to the AI/ML frameworks
- Collaborate with Windows and Linux platform Domain Experts to identify and resolve server performance issues in a large enterprise infrastructure environment.
- Sound knowledge of CIFS/SMB, NFS, multi-protocol and basic Linux administration skills.
- Knowledge and experience using configuration management and automation tools such as Ansible, or Puppet.
- Consistent track record of high quality, agile focused, team-based solution delivery.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and communication skills, working across global and diverse teams.
- Familiarity with other Dell storage/backup management tools is a plus.
- Working knowledge of Azure/AWS and IaaS services
- Experience leading a global large-scale Infrastructure project.
Your Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related technical field.
- 4 to 7 years' experience as a Storage Platform Engineer.
Additional Information: - Onsite role located in Indianapolis, IN (relocation required).
- Less than 5% travel.
- Expected Shift Hours: 11:00am - 8:00pm US Eastern Standard Time (EST) / 12:00-9:00pm US Eastern Daylight-Saving Time (EDT)
- Available Shifts: Monday to Friday or Thursday to Monday

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate's education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is
$63,750 - $145,200
Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
