Job Description - The Storage Administrator will provide comprehensive technical support for NetApp storage systems, supporting SAN and NAS environments on Windows and Linux operating systems. They will support the implementation of current databases and virtual environments on NetApp storage systems in a multi-protocol environment. Key Responsibilities Provision new storage environments. Provide technical support for NetApp disaster recovery solutions utilizing NetApp replication technologies. Address Cyber compliance findings; complete STIG checklists, create and maintain test plans and document hardware inventory. Remediate findings and vulnerabilities and complete Plan of Action and Milestones (POAM) documentation as necessary. Enable auditing of NetApp and its supported hardware to centralized log server to support logging and auditing requirements. Provide technical support and maintenance for NetApp Active IQ Unified manager and OnTap Tools for VMware vSphere. Perform upgrades and patching of software to maintain compliance. Provide technical support for Veritas Netbackup or current backup software. Create backup schedules that meet disaster recovery policies as required. Monitor backup status and remediate errors and failed backup jobs. Perform upgrades and patching of backup software to maintain compliance. Ensure storage compliance with DoD, Air Force, and AFTAC policies and applicable accreditation standards for hardware/software configuration and approval requirements throughout the lifecycle of the system/software. Use NetApp tools to monitor storage system performance, as well as gather historical records of this performance to create effective storage subsystem performance presentations. This data will be used to present factual statistical data to represent perceived performance issues. Communicate storage subsystem performance to customers identifying real and perceived performance problems. Optimize storage performance using NetApp tools and recommend corrective actions to any real and perceived performance problems. Adjust all performance settings of individual storage appliances, software, data replications, snapshots, and backup configurations in order to optimize storage performance. Maintain storage by the daily monitoring and reporting of any hardware or software faults. Address storage reporting by opening internal service tickets and remediate faults. Problem tickets shall be escalated by opening service tickets with appropriate vendor support (vendor's telephone number and field support personnel to resolution). Report storage fault trends to the AFTAC team lead. Support and troubleshoot storage technologies and protocols: NVMe, SAN, Fiber Channel/iSCSI, NAS, CIFS/SMB and NFS. Support and deploy storage solutions on public, private, and hybrid Clouds. Required Qualifications: Top Secret Clearance A minimum of five (5) years of experience working as a NetApp storage administrator. Strong knowledge of NetApp Storage Systems, NAS, SAN, NetBackup. Certifications: Security+ required, NetApp Certified Data Administrator (NCDA) IAT Level 2 Desired Qualifications: NetApp Certified Implementation Engineer (NCIE) is a plus. Experience working with the DOD/USAF.
