A leading semiconductor company is seeking a Storage Infrastructure Engineer/Administrator to join the IT team in Dallas. This role is ideal for a tech expert with experience in storage infrastructure components, architecture, and automation. As a key contributor, you will design, implement, and manage scalable, reliable storage solutions while ensuring optimal performance and security for business-critical systems.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and support SAN, NAS, Object Storage, and vSAN across TI sites.
  • Develop and execute storage technology roadmaps and lead migrations.
  • Automate provisioning, monitoring, and management using DevOps and scripting tools (Python, PowerShell, Ansible).
  • Monitor storage capacity, performance, and scalability, ensuring optimal system health.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, document resolutions, and coordinate with vendors.
  • Manage storage networking (Cisco MDS SAN, zoning, fabric configurations, multipathing).
  • Ensure compliance with IT security, backup, and disaster recovery best practices.
  • Support virtualization storage (VMware vSAN, Hyper-V) and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Implement and maintain storage replication, snapshots, and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Optimize storage efficiency through deduplication, compression, and tiering strategies.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to align storage solutions with business and application requirements.
  • Document procedures, provide technical training, and support global IT teams.
  • Utilize and maintain storage management tools (Hitachi Ops Center, NetApp ONTAP, Cisco NDFC, Pure Storage management, etc.).
  • Assist with regulatory compliance, ITSM change management, and audits.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in storage administration.
  • Expertise in Hitachi, NetApp, Dell, PURE storage, Cisco SAN, and VMware vSAN.
  • Strong skills in automation (Python, PowerShell, Ansible), DevOps, and infrastructure scripting.
  • Knowledge of CIFS, NFS, SMB, S3, access controls, and security policies.
  • Experience in performance tuning, capacity planning, and troubleshooting storage environments.
  • Familiarity with virtualization, containers, backup, and disaster recovery solutions.
