Job Description Role Title: Stockroom Associate Purpose: At Bennett Marine, we value the interaction with our employees. We lead with love. The Stockroom associate's responsibilities include verifying delivered items, unloading trucks, ensuring items are stored correctly, and processing returns. To be successful as a receiving clerk you should be able to inspect deliveries with great attention to detail and be able to lift and move heavy items. Ultimately, a top receiving clerk should be able to ensure efficient receiving processes and promptly resolve any problems or discrepancies of incoming items received into the facility and maintain the warehouse stock area. Reporting Relationship: Warehouse Supervisor Main Responsibilities: Adheres to best production practices and product quality standards. Adheres to all quality policies, procedures and objectives Adheres to all company policies and procedures Load and unload goods and supplies and ensures proper handling of the same. Receive merchandise and supplies while verifying accuracy. Unpack, sort, and stock inbound receipts. Ensure proper packing, labeling and tagging of the inventory in the warehouse. Pick/pack dealer orders according to set guidelines and departmental quotas. Conducts cycle-counts of inventory and managing daily log registers. Maintain quality in the warehouse and keeps track of all damaged inventory and reporting the same to supervisor(s). Ensures the cleanliness and proper stocking of inventory in the work area. Know basic guidelines of carrier requirements for packaging and shipping. Operate forklift as required. Works in adherence to all safety regulations and Kaizen / 5S practices of the warehouse. Requirements: High School Diploma/GED Previous warehouse experience Good communication skills Good understanding of warehouse safety regulations Computer skills and knowledge of data entry and inventory software programs Experience with inventory control is a plus Ability to bend and lift 50 pounds Forklift certification is beneficial for unloading large shipments is a plus
