Checks all areas for supplies needed. Accurately and efficiently processes multiple requisitions and appropriately stocks surgical supplies to meet the demands of the Sterile Processing Department (SPD) and the Operating Room (OR). Create requisitions and stock supplies used by the SPD and OR. Checks items and quantities against receiving reports for all supplies distributed by SPD. Checks expiration dates, rotates stock, and cycle counts the inventory in the warehouse. Maintains stock areas, puts processed instruments and trays away. Keeps shelves organized and clean. Maintain accurate item locations and quantities. Check inventory in specialty carts and bins; maintains accurate records when checking in/out inventory. Works collaboratively with the Purchasing Department on the timely delivery of supplies and resolution of backorders. Notifies Manager or designee of any stock outs or backorders. Removes damaged or outdated/expired Sterile Supplies for reprocessing, return, or disposal. Maintains documents/records pertinent to stock levels, issues, and other data in Materials Management computer system. Utilize required reports to evaluate inventory levels. Performs counts as needed and modifies inventory to appropriate par levels. Assists in periodic physical inventory of supplies and equipment. Identify, retrieves and transports product and/or instrumentation to the OR as requested. Restocks, labels, and maintains inventory, submits requisitions, return unused product/instruments to the shelf. Participates in educational programs, in-services and meeting as required. Perform other duties as assigned. Ability to read, write and communicate in English Minimum of High School Diploma/GED or higher Possesses basic computer/keyboarding skills necessary to run multiple Materials Management module routines and communicate efficiently via the messaging system. Basic computer skills required. Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Good interpersonal skills, being concise by phone, and in person. Excellent phone communication skills. Excellent organizational skills. (Preferred) - One (1) year experience in Materials Management and/or Warehousing (Preferred) - Basic knowledge of sterile item storage, care and handling
