Your role will involve ensuring efficient operations for receiving, storing, and distributing various store items. Utilize your experience in clerical work, warehousing, or stockroom management with an agency that is dedicated to innovating the transportation system in Lancaster County.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role, you will support county staff by managing access to repair parts and specialized tools. You will maintain an inventory of frequently used items such as filters, belts, equipment components, fittings, hoses, hardware, fluids, tires, and other maintenance supplies, ensuring that these items are stored and issued appropriately. It is essential to have a thorough understanding of necessary consumables, manage stock in designated storage areas, and verify that inventory counts align with current invoices.

Your responsibilities will include analyzing invoices to ensure that receipts are accurate for payment processing. You will collaborate with the Purchasing Agent to supply materials to both field and garage operations. Additionally, you will assess usage patterns, recommend adjustments to reorder points, and prepare requisition forms for parts room items while monitoring their status. You will also be tasked with receiving, inspecting, and either accepting or rejecting stock room items, suggesting corrections to vendor invoices, and maintaining the organization of consumable products while controlling the issuance of materials and supplies.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $35,306.00 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • One year of experience in stockroom, warehouse, or clerical work; and graduation from high school; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
