Riverland Hills is prayerfully seeking a theologically grounded, biblically qualified, and administratively gifted Pastor of Stewardship and Operations. This leader will provide an oversight of the church's financial stewardship and operational ministries. This pastoral role is essential to ensuring wise and faithful management of all resources entrusted to the church by God, undergirding the work of ministry, and advancing the mission of making mature disciples.

Primary Responsibilities

Finance

  • Lead the financial strategy and oversight for the church, including budgeting, reporting, and compliance.
  • Supervise the finance staff and ensure sound financial practices in accordance with church policy and best standards.
  • Work collaboratively with the Finance Committee and the Senior Pastor to align financial planning with ministry priorities.
  • Manage relationships with outside accountants, auditors, and financial institutions.

Stewardship

  • Cultivate a churchwide culture of generosity rooted in biblical principles.
  • Lead stewardship education initiatives, annual giving campaigns, and special financial emphases.
  • Equip members to grow as stewards of their time, talents, and resources.
  • Partner with ministry leaders to integrate stewardship into the broader discipleship process.

Operations

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the church, including facilities, HR, technology, and administrative support.
  • Provide supervision and development for operational staff and volunteers.
  • Ensure legal, risk management, safety, and compliance measures are in place and effective.
  • Support ministry leaders in strategic planning and resource allocation.

Qualifications

  • A committed follower of Jesus Christ with a clear sense of calling to pastoral ministry.
  • Bachelor's degree required, master's degree in ministry, business, finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in church, nonprofit, or corporate operations.
  • Strong financial acumen and working knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and stewardship development.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage systems, and communicate with clarity and grace.
  • Familiarity with church management and financial software systems is preferred.

Relationships and Accountability

  • Reports directly to the Senior Pastor.
  • Works closely with Executive and Pastoral Staff, Executive, Finance, Personnel, Nominating Committees and Facilities committees.
  • Supervises finance, administrative, and operational staff.
