Pride Health is hiring a Central Service Technician/ Sterile Tech to support our client's medical facility in Columbus, OH. This is a CONTRACT opportunity of 3 months and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization.
Job Summary:
A Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for cleaning, disinfecting, assembling, sterilizing, and distributing surgical instruments and medical equipment in healthcare facilities. They play a vital role in infection control by ensuring all tools are properly sterilized and safe for use in surgeries and patient care. Techs follow strict protocols and use specialized equipment like autoclaves to maintain high sterilization standards. They also inspect instruments for damage, track inventory, and manage instrument trays. Working closely with surgical teams, they help ensure procedures run smoothly by providing timely and accurate supplies. Attention to detail, organization, and knowledge of aseptic techniques are key to success in this role.
Key Responsibilities and skills:
- Decontamination of all items (Drills, Davinci, scopes,
- Assembly of all instruments in all service lines (Trauma, loaners, peel packaging included)
- Sterilization process (sterrad and steam)
- HLD/ Scope experience
- Sterile Storage
- OR Liaison experience
- Censitrac Tracking system experience
Qualifications:
- Minimum education- High school diploma or GED
- CRCST or CSPDT required
- Trauma 1 level experience required
- BLS from AHA required
- Detail-oriented with good experience.
- Computer skills.
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and stress management skills.
Additional Information:
- Location: Columbus, OH and other locations
- Job Type: 3 months contract
- Shifts: 8 HOURS NIGHT SHIFT
- Hourly Pay: $30-$33/ hr (LOCAL RATES ) $33- $26/HR (TRAVEL RATES)
Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
