Join JLR as a Stator Manufacturing Process Engineer.

We seek an accomplished Stator Manufacturing Process Engineer to advance our electrification manufacturing technologies. As a Process Engineer within Global Manufacturing Engineering - Propulsion, you will deliver cutting-edge manufacturing solutions for JLR's electric vehicles.

You will develop state-of-the-art manufacturing processes and facilities for electric propulsion systems, collaborating with Product Development Engineers and external suppliers to meet safety and quality standards. You will also work with plant engineers to ensure smooth facility launches.

Based at our Whitley site, with potential to work at other JLR locations in the West Midlands, and occasional overseas travel to collaborate with technology suppliers.

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • Develop and implement machining and assembly processes, ensuring safety, quality, delivery, cost, and environmental objectives.
  • Create comprehensive written manufacturing processes for efficient workflows.
  • Conduct design for manufacture assessments and manage changes effectively.
  • Verify assembly processes and equipment at supplier sites and within manufacturing facilities.
  • Support technical issue resolution to maintain operations.
  • Develop tooling, jigs, and fixtures to enhance manufacturing precision and efficiency.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • Expertise in designing, optimizing, and managing manufacturing processes.
  • Strong vendor and supplier relationship management skills.
  • Knowledge of end-to-end stator manufacturing processes.
  • Experience delivering high-volume manufacturing systems (>100,000 units/year).
  • Familiarity with Electric Drive Units (EDU) integration into automotive systems.
  • Experience with machine procurement, installation, project management, and product launch.
  • Background in manufacturing engineering processes, tools, and techniques.
