Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

• Proven experience as a Starburst in an AWS environment

• Strong proficiency in managing and optimizing Starburst clusters

• Experience with Presto and related big data technologies

• Solid understanding of AWS services and cloud architecture

• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Starburst clusters to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security

• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand and address their requirements

• Implement and maintain security protocols and access controls for Starburst environments

• Perform routine system monitoring, troubleshooting, and problem resolution

• Optimize and fine-tune Starburst clusters for efficiency and cost-effectiveness

• Automate routine administrative tasks using scripting languages and automation tools

• Implement backup and recovery strategies for Starburst workloads

• Stay informed about the latest Starburst and AWS features, updates, and best practices

• Collaborate with cloud architects and DevOps teams to integrate Starburst into broader AWS environments

• Provide technical support and training to users of Starburst platform
