Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) is seeking a Staff Systems Engineer to serve as a Thread Lead in support of a program out of our Fairfax, VA or Morrisville, NC locations Position Overview: As a thread lead the candidate will need to maintain ownership of a system capability by doing the following: develop, decompose, and manage capability specific requirement flow down and decomposition (in cameo) from system to unit.
develop, decompose, and manage capability specific MBSE activity diagram (in Cameo) development and maintenance from system to unit.
develop, decompose, and manage capability specific verification planning (in Cameo) development and maintenance from system to unit.
develop, and manage capability specific ICDs (in Cameo) development and maintenance from system to unit.
develop, and manage capability specific MARs development and maintenance Basic Qualifications: Staff Systems Engineer: Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 12 years of experience, a master's degree in a STEM discipline with 10 years of experience or a PhD in a STEM discipline with 7 years of experience.
Active TS/SCI clearance at the time of application or have an active TS with SCI eligibility. Must be comfortable working with a geographically dispersed team.
Must be comfortable with agile development and working with JIRA/Confluence.
Experience with communicating and presenting technical subjects to PMO or customers.
Willingness to learn Cameo as most of the work will be completed in the model. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with CAMEO.
General knowledge of Ground SW Systems and ground segment architecture.
Familiarity with multiple function areas of Systems Engineering.
Willingness to support any Phase 2 Proposal needs. Salary Range: $171,000.00 - $256,400.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
