The Cardiac Neuro Registered Nurse is responsible for the observation, assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care; health teaching and counseling of the ill, injured, or infirm; and the promotion of wellness, maintenance of health, and prevention of illness of others. Administers medications and treatments as prescribed or authorized by a duly licensed practitioner authorized by the laws of this state to prescribe such medications and treatments.
This 27 -bed unit and will tend to Med /Tele Neuro & Cardiac, Post CAB, MI's/Chest pain etc. patients. Our number one goal is patient safety and satisfaction.
Qualifications
Nursing Diploma or ASN; BSN preferred.
1 + yrs OF RECENT RN acute care experience required. Telemetry and Cardiac experience required looking for stability so Travel experience is not preferred
If a candidate has 3 or more years of experience as an RN and if they have their compact license (They'll still need to apply for the FL license) we can consider and move forward.
If a candidate has less than 3 years of RN experience, they'll need to take the NCLEX in FL and once they pass we can consider (This is if candidates do not have a FL RN License)
Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS Certification.
NIHSS Certification must obtain within 30 days. Required to work under NIHSS credentials RN until training certificate obtained.
