Preferred QualificationsRole Purpose
Oversees, aligns and sets standards for advanced practice providers across BJC academic campus to ensure compliance with all regulatory and legal requirements. Collaborates with Finance and Managed Care leadership to develop strategy and processes that ensure appropriate payment for services provided by hospital and by APPs more broadly. Works to build strategic partnerships and coalitions to advance the APP practice and their role on the healthcare team within the academic campus. Supports advocacy efforts for legislative changes allowing APPs to practice at top of license and education.
Responsibilities
Collaborates with HSO medical staff offices to develop efficient, effective processes for credentialing of APPs. Chairs the AHP credentialing subcommittees for BJH and SLCH, and ensures all applicants meet requirements before advancing for approval.Analyzes clinical, workforce and financial data regarding APPs to promote efficient utilization of resources and promote quality improvement.Collaborates with medical department chiefs to develop standards/requirements for APP hiring, onboarding and scope of practice.Sets priorities for APP practice in alignment with the priorities of BJC and WUSM.Analyzes financial performance including utilization of resources, revenue capture opportunities and makes plans to positively impact results.Minimum Requirements
