90% FTE, evening/night shift rotation, one in three weekend rotation. Hours are based off operational needs of the department. Be a front-line nursing leader for the Heart and Vascular Progressive Care Surgery Unit to ensure optimum patient care, efficient operations, quality service and sound financial management.
We are seeking a Care Team Leader (CTL) / Charge Nurse:
- Direct and lead nursing staff to ensure optimum patient care, efficient operations, quality service and sound financial management.
- Facilitate and participate in daily interprofessional rounds.
- Continuously assess unit needs by ensuring adequate resources for current and upcoming shifts.
- Mentor others to grow professionally and advance their knowledge and skills.
Education:
Preferred - Baccalaureate degree in nursing
Work Experience:
Minimum -
- Two (2) years' experience in an inpatient unit
- At least two (2) years of combined work experience and leadership experience may be considered in lieu of two (2) years' experience in an inpatient unit.
Preferred -
- Three (3) years' experience in an acute care inpatient unit.
- Relevant RN experience with department-specific patient population
Licenses and Certifications:
Minimum -
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of WI or holds a license issued by a jurisdiction that has adopted the nurse licensure compact
- Current CPR/BLS certification
Preferred - National certification n relevant specialty
