Staff Product Test Engineer

Lead test strategies and specifications efforts for our highly integrated photonics-based AI platform and our photonics chiplet communication fabric. - 25% Establish manufacturing test coverage metrics and establish yield expectations and monitoring mechanisms. - 20% Provide test solutions for integrated digital/analog/photonic devices and drive post-silicon activities from bring-up through production. - 20% Collaborate with the Design-For-Test (DFT) team early in the design process. - 10% Develop initial product qualification (Quality/Reliability) test and execution plan. - 10% Develop a characterization methodology of critical circuit functionality. - 5% Work closely with OSATs to ensure test specifications are being met. - 5% Establish metrics and methodology to characterize and ensure reliable product operation at customer sites over the expected product lifetime. - 5% Minimum Requirements PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, or related field, or foreign degree equivalent, plus three (3) years of related work experience as a product test engineer, or similar role, at a semiconductor, autonomous vehicle, or similar organization. The experience which can be gained concurrently must also include the following: 3 years of experience in photonics test development; 3 years of experience in characterization of lasers and Semiconductor Optical Amplifiers (SOAs), including measurements of optical power, optical spectrum, and high frequency; 3 years of experience testing packaged laser modules and/or transceivers for datacom applications; 3 years of experience creating and maintaining test programs and test bed files for automated testing; 3 years of experience identifying key functionality issues from test data, and driving the collaboration with the design team to implement improvements; 3 years of experience in programming languages such as Python or LabView for test automation; 3 years of experience working in the HVM environment from NPI to mass production; and 3 years of experience with strategies to improve test time and quality. Alternate requirements include: MS degree in Electrical Engineering, or related field, or foreign degree equivalent, plus six (6) years of related work experience as a product test engineer, or similar role, at a semiconductor, autonomous vehicle, or similar organization. The experience which can be gained concurrently must also include the following: 6 years of experience in photonics test development; 6 years of experience in characterization of lasers and Semiconductor Optical Amplifiers (SOAs), including measurements of optical power, optical spectrum, and high frequency; 5 years of experience testing packaged laser modules and/or transceivers for datacom applications; 5 years of experience creating and maintaining test programs and test bed files for automated testing; 5 years of experience identifying key functionality issues from test data, and driving the collaboration with the design team to implement improvements; 5 years of experience in programming languages such as Python or LabView for test automation; 5 years of experience working in the HVM environment from NPI to mass production; and 5 years of experience with strategies to improve test time and quality.
