Staff Product Engineer with Security Clearance

Job Title: Staff Product Engineer Location: Los Angeles, CA (Onsite with up to 25% travel) Salary: $160,000 - $200,000 Clearance: TS/SCI Equity: 0.1% - 0.2% About the Role My client is seeking a frontend-leaning Staff Product Engineer with fullstack experience to be a cornerstone of product development. This role involves building and maintaining user interfaces across both client and server sides, contributing directly to critical systems supporting national defense. This is a unique opportunity to join an early-stage, high-performance team composed of professionals with backgrounds at Meta, Palantir, and in the military. The team combines deep technical and AI expertise with firsthand operational experience. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain robust frontend features (React preferred; Solid.js is a plus)
Contribute to backend and API integration (GraphQL, gRPC, or REST)
Work with database technologies such as Postgres, MySQL, or MongoDB
Collaborate with a cross-functional team to deliver user-focused, mission-driven solutions
Travel up to 25% to assist with customer integrations Requirements 5+ years of professional web development experience or
8+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3 years in web development
Strong frontend engineering skills
Experience with modern API frameworks and backend integration
Familiarity with at least one major database system
