Job Description Northrop Grumman Defense Systems Sector is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff System Engineering Lead which is responsible for interfacing with the IAMD customer and representing IBCS in activates related to requirements development and management as well as verification of complex IAMD systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that system and mission requirements are developed and verified, leading support of engineering design implementation, and leading development and sustainment of the IBCS system architecture using Model Based System Engineering tools and practices. This role requires leadership, technical acumen, and collaboration with various engineering disciplines. Key Responsibilities: Lead the IBCS HW Product Line systems architecture development, requirements development, requirements management, and verification. Lead IBCS systems architecture modeling in the Model-Based Systems Engineering environment. Support engineering discipline leads by ensuring communication and verification of system and mission requirements. Oversee ongoing trade studies, risk management, and reliability analysis. Ensure the development and update of key engineering metrics and management plans. Basic Qualifications: Experience or understanding across systems engineering principles including systems architecture development, requirements development, requirements management, and verification. 12 years with a Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field, 10 Years with Masters; 8 Years with PhD
Experience defining, documenting, and maintaining requirements at the system and sub-system level. Experience with developing and analyzing requirements; Performance allocation; requirements decomposition. Experience or understanding in Model-Based Systems Engineering practices. Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field. Proven leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively across disciplines and manage complex projects. Active Secret Clearance required to start Preferred Qualifications: Technical experience with IAMD: C2 with understanding of weapons, sensors, distributed computing and these systems' impact on a command-and-control system's architecture, requirements, and interfaces for communications between these systems Systems Engineering Experience in an Agile environment Experience with Jira Link-16 Experience Familiarity with weapon systems and sensors such as: PATRIOT, Sentinel, G/ATOR, etc. Salary Range: $163,200.00 - $244,800.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
