Position Summary: Edgewell Personal Care is looking for Staff Manufacturing Engineer to support its Manufacturing Operations and related activities at its Dover, Delaware location. The position is responsible for the improvement of efficiencies, recommendation, purchase, installation, and startup support of major capital projects to expand the manufacturing operation as determined by management. Primary responsibilities include: Leverages relationships and engineering resources with a business and operations mindset ensuring effective delivery of improved operational performance. Develop engineering talent and skills within the direct engineering team. Focuses the engineering team to develop effective solutions with supporting data, technical analysis, project management and execution. Ensures a balanced approach between technical engineering and project management that delivers long-term, lasting results beyond just initial project/activity execution and completion. Sets and communicates clear, consistent expectations, ensuring achievement of commitments as measured through delivery via time and budget, and most importantly with measured success factor performance proven through business results. Builds and drives engineering excellence in standards & specifications, processes, and practices within the engineering team and the internal customers it supports. Owns the engineering process to include problem statement, defined success factors, solution development from concept to project execution and close out through lessons learned. Drives a proactive mindset through application of best practices. Develops long-term capital plans that incorporate current and future business performance needs, but also addresses risk of obsolescence. Collaborates with operations and leads the identification of common cause equipment losses related to equipment, maintenance, & reliability performance focusing on solution development and execution to minimize loss impacts and improve operational performance. Prepares timelines, schedules, and coordinates activities across cross functional teams. Prepares and supports equipment/line proposals, installations, startups, and validations. Works with Process Engineering to analyze production data, troubleshoots process problems. Provides day to day support to operations to meet production goals. Provides support to R&D for trials, testing and launch of new products. Performs other duties as necessary when directed to do so. Follows necessary GMP, FDA, and ISO regulations. Educational Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field. Minimum four to 10 years' experience in manufacturing environment with at least two years of experience of having direct reports. Maintenance / tooling background a plus. Skills and Experience Required: Excellent oral and written communication skills. Knowledge of high-speed and high-volume manufacturing equipment preferably in manufacture of feminine hygiene products like pads and liners. Knowledge of material handling, material flow, be able to read engineering drawings and plant layout. Knowledge of cost accounting principles. Write purchase orders and track spending on capital projects. Ability to identify machine, material and/or process improvements and implement solutions. Ability to teach/train operating personnel and assist in writing procedures/manuals. Ability to lead a team of experienced Engineers as direct reports, mentor junior engineers, do periodical one-on-one check-ins, quarterly evaluations and annual performance reviews. Working knowledge of MS office, AutoCAD, SolidWorks and other data analysis software. Environmental, Health and Safety Responsibilities: Be aware of and follow Edgewell' s environmental policy, cGMP and other procedures that apply to the position. Perform every job safely for the benefit of self and co-workers. This includes proper use of personal protective equipment. The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $150,000. The actual base salary offered to a candidate may vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance.
