Staff Embedded Software Engineer - IPT Lead with Security Clearance

Position Overview
We are seeking a Staff Embedded Software Engineer (IPT Lead) to join a high-impact team supporting the SiAW program. This individual will serve as a key technical leader, responsible for leading cross-functional engineering teams and managing software development for flight software and ground support equipment systems. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone passionate about guiding teams through the full software development lifecycle-planning, executing, integrating, and delivering highly complex embedded systems. Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate engineering teams supporting flight software and ground support equipment software Oversee the entire software development effort, from planning and design through testing and delivery Serve as Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead and Cost Account Manager (CAM), responsible for tracking budget, schedule, and performance metrics Develop, organize, and manage all technical activities, ensuring alignment with program goals Present risk assessments, progress updates, and mitigation strategies to senior management Drive cross-discipline collaboration to identify and resolve integration issues early Support hardware integration and software validation efforts in embedded systems environments Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a STEM field and 12+ years of relevant engineering experience
(or 10+ years with a master's degree, or 6+ years with a PhD) Proven experience leading engineering teams or projects Background in Cost Account Management (CAM) and Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) Experience managing risks, opportunities, and technical issues within complex subsystems Experience integrating hardware and electronics into multi-system environments Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance Preferred Qualifications
Current DoD Secret clearance and ability to obtain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance Experience leading flight software development efforts in aerospace or defense programs Strong background in system and software architecture Demonstrated success managing stakeholder relationships and resolving complex technical challenges
