The Staff Development Coordinator is responsible for training and educating nursing department employees to ensure high-quality resident care. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing job skills training and in-service education as per regulations.
- Monitoring C.N.A. competency and providing immediate one-on-one instruction as needed.
- Training new staff in identified deficient areas before they engage with residents.
Qualifications include:
- Registered Nurse with current state licensure.
- Minimum of three years of clinical experience, preferably in long-term care.
- Current CPR certification and knowledge of relevant nursing practices and regulations.
