Compensation: $60,000 $80,000 depending on experience
A growing eCommerce company is seeking a detail-oriented
Staff Accountant with strong inventory accounting experience to join their in-house finance team. This role is essential to ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records while supporting the day-to-day accounting functions in a fast-paced, product-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Invoice Management: Create and process invoices using QuickBooks; maintain organized and timely billing procedures.
- Inventory Accounting: Track and reconcile inventory for financial reporting; investigate and resolve discrepancies with vendors; ensure accurate cost of goods sold (CoGS).
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Manage AP and AR functions, ensuring timely payments and accurate invoicing; match payments and deposits to appropriate transactions.
- Card & Transaction Oversight: Reconcile and document transactions for virtual and physical company cards.
- Operations: Utilize to streamline accounts payable workflow and maintain accurate records.
- Collections: Follow up on outstanding AR, notify leadership of overdue accounts, and support collection processes.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Partner with internal teams to resolve cost-related discrepancies and ensure financial data accuracy.
Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in inventory accounting
- 2 3 years in a general accounting or similar role
- Solid understanding of GAAP
- Proficient in QuickBooks, and Excel or Google Sheets
- eCommerce or retail accounting experience preferred
