My client is looking for a skilled accountant to oversee the month-end and year-end financial closing processes, ensuring compliance with IFRS and Group guidelines while managing fixed asset accounting, lease contracts, and trial balance reviews. The role also involves collaborating with teams on accounting treatments, supporting audits, driving process improvements, and contributing to ad-hoc accounting projects.

Description


  • Oversee the month-end and year-end financial closing process, ensuring adherence to IFRS and Group guidelines, including journal entries and account reconciliations.

  • Collaborate with Maisons and support functions to provide guidance on the proper accounting treatment for transactions and business drivers.

  • Manage fixed asset accounting, including the creation, maintenance, and monitoring of CAPEX reporting.

  • Review lease agreements to extract and assess key information.

  • Account for monthly lease contracts, including handling modifications and adjustments.

  • Review the trial balance and provide detailed variance analysis and commentary as needed.

  • Assist with annual internal and external audits, providing necessary support and documentation.

  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency and ensuring compliance with business needs.

  • Support and actively participate in ad-hoc accounting projects as required.


Profile


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, with approximately 3 years of relevant experience.

  • Solid understanding of accounting principles (P&L, Cash Flow, and Balance Sheet analysis) with experience in data analytics.

  • Strong desire to learn and expand accounting knowledge and skills.

  • Results-driven team player, capable of managing multiple reporting units in a dynamic environment.

  • Excellent analytical abilities, demonstrating a high degree of integrity.

  • Proactive and highly organized, with the ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet tight deadlines.

  • Proficient in Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, etc.) and financial software systems.

  • Familiarity with SAP ERP system is a plus.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Collaborative team member with a focus on effective teamwork and partnership.
