Job Details

Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing financial transactions, ensuring accurate reporting, and contributing to the overall financial health of the organization. This role requires expertise in accounts payable (A/P), accounts receivable (A/R), journal entries, and month-end close, along with proficiency in ADP payroll processing and advanced Excel skills.

Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable (A/P): Process vendor invoices, ensure timely payments, reconcile statements, and address discrepancies.
Accounts Receivable (A/R): Manage customer invoicing, track incoming payments, and reconcile accounts.
Journal Entries: Prepare and post accurate journal entries to the general ledger.
Month-End Close: Assist in closing the books, including reconciling accounts, analyzing variances, and preparing financial reports.
Payroll Support: Process payroll through ADP, ensure compliance with payroll regulations, and resolve employee inquiries.
Financial Analysis: Utilize Excel for financial modeling, data analysis, and reporting.
Compliance: Ensure adherence to accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to resolve issues and support financial operations.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.

Experience: 2+ years of accounting experience, including handling A/P, A/R, journal entries, and month-end close.

Technical Skills:
Proficiency in ADP payroll systems.
Advanced knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas).
Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar platforms).

Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Certifications: CPA or other relevant certifications are a plus but not required.
