The Staff Accountant is responsible for ensuring general ledger accuracy, managing accounts receivable and accounts payable, and preparing and/or reviewing company financial documents. A key member of the Finance team, the Staff Accountant will have a strong understanding of accounting practices, excellent analytical skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.


Key Responsibilities:


  • General Accounting: reviews and processes all day-to-day accounting transactions for the company, including accounts payable and receivable.
  • Transaction Reconciliation: reconciles bank statements and credit card transactions company-wide to ensure accurate, timely payments and compliance with policy.
  • Financial Support: supports preparation of financial statements and reporting.


Specific Responsibilities:


  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable in a timely manner.
  • Perform general ledger account reconciliations, including bank and credit card reconciliations.
  • Manage the Company's expense reimbursement process and ensure compliance with relevant policies.
  • Complete payroll entries and reconciliation.
  • Assist in the month-end invoicing process
  • Assist in month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and adjustments.
  • Assist with audits, providing necessary documentation and support to external auditors.
  • Maintains accurate records and ensures documentation to support financial transactions
  • Prepares tax and other regulatory filings, as needed
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth financial operations.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned by management

Key Qualifications:


  • Proven experience (3+ years) in accounting required
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required
  • Proficiency in accounting software; experience working with NetSuite is strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated expertise in excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP's
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines
