Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an accountant at KL FINANCIAL LLC in Palmetto, GA. This is NOT a remote position. The accountant will be responsible for the following job duties.
- Work with clients to accurately prepare tax returns for individuals and small businesses from initial meeting through delivery of completed returns.
- Prepare financial statements, journal entries, manage fixed assets and reconcile accounts.
- Understand and apply tax reduction strategies.
- Research various tax matters.
- Monitor guidance issued by the Internal Revenue Service/Department of the Treasury and new legislation relevant to tax accounting
- Nurture current client relationships as well as help us grow our clientele base.
Qualifications
- At least 2 tax seasons of income tax preparation experience preferred
- Experience preparing 1040 returns required
- Experience preparing 1120S and 1065 tax returns preferred
- Experience working with high net worth / high income clients preferred
- Analytical Skills and Finance expertise with strong organizational and time-management skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- IRS Enrolled Agent (EA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license preferred
- Experience working in UltraTax CS preferred
- Quickbooks online experience required
- Enjoy working with people and display a true desire for positive client outcome.
Compensation
- $45K to $80K a year dependent upon experience and qualifications
- 401K with company matching

- Enjoy Fridays off for about 5 months of the year in return for additional hours required from late January to April 15th
