We are searching for an onsite staff accountant to work in LaVergne or in downtown Nashville. We will consider new college graduates with accounting degrees or candidates up to the senior staff accountant level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare journal entries and analyze financial data for general ledger postings
- Reconcile designated balance sheet accounts, including preparing summary reports and resolving discrepancies promptly
- Perform domestic and international bank reconciliations, investigating and clearing reconciling items in a timely manner
- Calculate and accrue sales and use tax for multiple states, ensuring accuracy through invoice review
- Support the Fixed Asset Accountant in maintaining asset records and performing reconciliations
- Manage monthly billing and spreadsheet maintenance for sub-tenant agreements
- Prepare journal entries and reconciliations for international offices, as assigned
- Assist with annual audit preparation by conducting research and compiling financial schedules
- Perform additional duties and special projects as required
Required Education, Knowledge & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience
- Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience in a general ledger environment, ideally within a legal or professional services setting
