Title: Staff Accountant
Reports To: Controller
Location: Denver (Hybrid)
Description: As the Staff Accountant, you'll support the company's daily financial operations, managing key accounting functions such as accounts payable, general ledger and month-end closings. This is an excellent opportunity to apply your accounting expertise while growing professionally within a dynamic, growing team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for accounts payable functions, including coding, entering invoices and monitoring the AP email inbox
- Coding and verifying company credit card charges, and employee expense reports in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Assist vendors and employees seeking information regarding invoices, payments, etc.
- Prepare detailed general ledger account reconciliations
- Assist Controller in preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
- Complete bank and credit card reconciliations
- Enter and maintain journal entries
- Work on special projects as necessary
- Perform other duties as assigned
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- 2-3 years of accounting experience
- Previous experience in renewable energy a plus
- Solid understanding of GAAP
- Good attention to detail
- Organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize duties
- Ability to stay calm under pressure and juggle multiple duties
- Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

Job Type: Permanent, Full-time
