Role Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer with strong hands-on experience in SAP and Google Cloud Platform (GCP), particularly in finance and revenue domains. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in designing and implementing scalable data solutions, integrating SAP data into cloud platforms, and enabling advanced analytics. This is a hybrid role (3 days onsite) based in Santa Clara, CA.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Engineering & Architecture: Design and build scalable data pipelines to process finance and revenue-related data from SAP to GCP.

• Cloud Data Integration: Work with GCP services such as BigQuery, Data flow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Composer (Airflow), and Dataproc to enable data-driven decision-making.

• SAP Data Handling: Extract, transform, and optimize SAP financial and revenue data for cloud-based analytics.

• ETL & Data Pipelines: Build and optimize ETL/ELT processes using SQL, Python, Spark, and GCP-native tools.

• Performance Optimization: Ensure efficient data storage, processing, and retrieval while maintaining cost-effective cloud solutions.

• Collaboration: Work closely with finance, analytics, and engineering teams to enable business insights and automation.

• Data Governance & Security: Implement data governance, security best practices, and compliance measures for handling financial data.

Required Qualifications:

• 7+ years of hands-on data engineering experience with a strong foundation in SQL, Python, and Spark.

• Experience with SAP Finance or Revenue modules (SAP ECC, S/4HANA, SAP BW) and integration with cloud platforms.

• Expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) with hands-on experience in BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Composer, or Dataproc.

• Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT pipelines, and distributed data processing.

• Experience working with finance or revenue-related datasets in an enterprise environment.

• Knowledge of data security, compliance, and governance best practices for financial data.

• Ability to work in a hybrid model with onsite presence in Santa Clara, CA (3 days a week).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with SAP BODS, SAP Data Services, or SAP HANA replication to GCP.

• Knowledge of cloud cost optimization and FinOps best practices.

• Exposure to AI/ML integration for finance analytics.

• Familiarity with Terraform, Git, and DevOps pipelines for cloud infrastructure.
