Overview: Our client is an industry leader in the private equity space. They are searching for a Senior VDI Administrator for a permanent role in Toronto.
What you will be doing: - You will build and maintain Windows 10 VDI images
- Maintain VMware Horizon solution on cloud and on-prem
- Support Azure Virtual Desktop solutions
- Package applications into AppStacks
- Provide L3 support for Windows 10 non-persistent/floating VDI and Multi-session desktops
- Monitor VDI infrastructure via VMware and in house tools
- Monitor Service Desk queues and comply with quality guidelines when managing incidents.
- Respond and comply with escalation policies and procedures
- Provide operational support. Promptly respond to telephone call, voice-mail and emails.
- Participate in weekend on-call schedule
- Resolve and document system errors and performance issues
- Perform root cause analysis of critical errors and outages
What you must have: - You have 3+ years of experience in VMware Horizon VDI solutions
- Experience Deploying, Managing, Monitoring and Troubleshooting VDI environments
- Experience in VMware Horizon Cloud
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Azure public cloud
- Excellent communication skills; ability to collaborate with customers to find optimal solutions
- Experience in any of the following, or similar, is a plus:
- Azure Virtual Desktop
- Microsoft Windows 10 multi session
- Microsoft FSLogix
- PowerShell scripting
- ThinPrint
- Basic Linux knowledge
- You are self-motivated, innovative and analytical with strong attention to details and the ability to think laterally for problem solving
- You able to meet deadlines and changing priorities. Must be able to work in high-pressure environment, sometimes independently and sometimes as part of a project team
Other Information: - Salary/Rate Range :95-120K
- Hybrid: 2 days/week onsite in Charlotte
