Sr Technical Support Engineer

New product engineering support

High pressure metal annulus seal and wellhead/tree equipment subject matter expert
Wellhead elastomer seal analysis and design subject matter expert

Tasks and Deliverables:
â Read and understand Baker Hughes and customer specifications related to product engineering
â Perform finite element analysis on assemblies with seal elements
â Specify materials and geometries for metal annulus seals and associated features
â Write and review qualification test procedures.
â Support qualification tests within the Houston area.
â Support troubleshooting of manufacturing and test issues and recommend solutions
â Provide expertise and guidance on wellhead seals to less experienced employees.

Success Measurements:
â Successful PR2F and customer qualification test of new wellhead system seal
â Completion of all design verification and validation documents for the new seal

Experience and Skills:
â Degreed Engineer
â 15+ years Oil & Gas industry experience, including experience with API 6A and/or API 17D
â Widely recognized subject matter expertise with finite element analysis and wellhead seals (Ansys)
â Demonstrable prior experience developing new metal seals for wellhead annulus applications
â Understanding of vendor capabilities for metal and elastomeric seals.
â Proficient in ANSYS
â Proficient in typical Microsoft applications, Outlook, Word, Excel
â Ability to communicate effectively with engineering and sourcing personnel
â Ability to follow process map and procedures.
â Ability to handle multiple priorities at once
