Position Overview: Our company is seeking an experienced team leader to act as a subject matter experts across a range of large-scale networking operations. Working with our project manager, you'll lead a team of between 6 and 14 engineers in supporting enterprise networking operations in across on-premises and cloud environments. Candidates must have experience working in impact level 6 (IL6) environments and possess a TS clearance. You'll need to be familiar with all levels of the OSI model and should possess knowledge of DoD operational requirements around information assurance, risk management frameworks, and authority to operate lifecycle. Day-To-Day Duties and Responsibilities: Deliver service catalog items for automatically provisioning network configurations to deliver Infrastructure-as -Code Conducts cost/benefit analysis and provides specific detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements Develop and maintain network architecture specifications and artifacts Plans implementation of enhancements and upgrades to network operations Additional Duties and Responsibilities: Excellent communication (verbal and written), effective leadership, and interpersonal skills
Analyzes and studies complex system requirements
Develop and validate system architecture
Develop and support initial implementation and provide lifecycle engineering of network architecture
Provide Tier III subject matter support and oversee Tier III support engineers
Large Enterprise or DoD IP network experience running BGP/MP-BGP (multi AS) and MPLS routing protocols
Strong routing protocols experience: BGP, MPLS/RSVP, OSPF, IS-IS, Multicast, Layer-2/Layer-3 Virtual Private Network (VPN) and Carrier Supporting Carrier (CsC)
Extensive experience supporting Linux-based systems
Experience working proficiently in Windows environments
Minimum Qualifications (Standard) Minimum of 10 years working in DoD environments DoD and/or Government program experience preferred (DISA experience a plus) 4+ years working on SIPRNet MS1 4+ years working Impact Level 6 (IL6) 5+ years leading teams of at least six people Preferred Qualifications (Standard) Information Assurance Certifications consistent with the 8570 IAT Level III AWS and/or Azure certifications are highly desired Professional certification in Cisco/Juniper, Red Hat, and/or ITIL is desired EEO Statement: (Standard) We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
