Sr. Systems Architect with Security Clearance

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Senior Systems Architect to support a mission-critical Ground System program in El Segundo, CA. This role is essential in ensuring the seamless transition of all Ground System hardware and software components into operational status, working closely with mission operations and engineering teams. Key Responsibilities: Ensure successful transition of Ground System HW/SW components to operations.
Validate system checkout with mission operations in accordance with established plans.
Oversee configuration and functionality of documentation, infrastructure, operational environments, workstations, licensing, and displays.
Lead coordination and troubleshooting efforts for both physical and virtual system transitions.
Collaborate with mission operations to support OPSCON/CONOPS execution across DOTMLPF-P.
Apply systems engineering expertise across the full Systems Engineering V lifecycle.
Proactively identify and address system gaps using strong problem-solving skills.
Maintain awareness of baseline requirements, interfaces, and integration touchpoints to ensure milestone achievement and system closure.
Required Qualifications: 10+ years of demonstrated experience in systems engineering.
In-depth knowledge of the Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DODAF).
Strong understanding of systems engineering principles and lifecycle processes.
Active TS/SCI
Preferred Qualifications: Experience supporting DoD, Air Force, Space Force, or Space Systems Command (SSC) programs.
Prior work with a SETA (Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance) contractor.
Compensation & Benefits: Salary Range: $165,000 - $200,000 (based on experience)
