As a Senior Systems Architect - Supply Chain, you will Architect, design, and build enterprise class Supply Chain Solutions. Your success will be measured on your ability to rapidly develop a keen understanding of TMUS Information architecture while working closely with other architecture and development teams to build world class solutions. This position will work very closely with Leadership, Principal Architects and Development team members to build out and implement the Supply Chain solutions.
The Sr Systems Architect - Supply Chain is responsible for designing and implementing solutions within Network Supply Chain and Device Supply Chain Planning domains. Network Supply Chain supports fulfilling demands at 70K+ cell sites whereas Device Supply Chain Planning forecasts demand and replenish at 7600+ retail locations as well as non-retail locations. This individual will work with Technical Product Owners/Managers, Developers, and Business Users. While this position includes hands-on architecture and engineering work, it also focuses a majority of the time on technical leadership, which includes driving the vision, proposing the optimal solution, coaching engineers, documenting and evolving coding standards and best practices, performing data modeling, participating in advanced troubleshooting of production and pre-production systems, and authoring frameworks and utilities to improve the efficiency of supply chain team members. They own creation and documentation of roadmaps and actively participate and collaborate on architectural, technological and infrastructural discussions for both current ecosystem and short-term future strategy.

• Compile, develop, and deliver architectural guardrails; influence stakeholders and ensure compliance with architectural guardrails within many technology domains that support the needs of project teams to reliably launch Supply Chain enhancements.
• Lead the architecture and design of on-premises supply chain systems with SAP infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration with cloud-native microservices.
• Collaborate with internal teams to define the technical strategy for SAP systems, cloud-native services, and microservices architecture in the context of supply chain management.
• Design hybrid architectures that integrate on-premises SAP systems (e.g., SAP ECC, OER, HANA) with cloud-native microservices using API management, containers.
• Guide the migration strategy for integrating on-premises SAP infrastructure with cloud-based solutions, enabling enhanced supply chain agility and scalability.
• Manage and optimize the on-premises' infrastructure (servers, databases, storage, and network) while coordinating cloud-native architectures that allow for digital transformation.
• Ensure end-to-end system integration, focusing on SAP's interactions with other supply chain applications (e.g., WMS, TMS).
• Draft and implement development processes, management plans and contract deliverable schedules (baselines), operational troubleshooting and training
• Mentor team members on best practices within your area of expertise, encouraging a deeper understanding of enterprise-wide objectives. Provide mentorship and coaching to architects and other team members, while identifying and recommending training opportunities to strengthen the team's overall capabilities.
• Serve as a subject matter expert to guide technology strategy by convincing decision makers across multiple domains and working with Architects in each domain.
• Work with business teams and technical analysts to understand business requirements. Determine how to use technology to create solutions that satisfy the business requirements.
• Serve as a technical resource for business teams to help define, estimate and recommend optimized solutions for business opportunities.
• Provide critical architectural inputs during RFI and RFP process.
• Determine and validate potential data sources, build validation plan, assisting with or building scripts, executing the scripts, and communicating results in non-production environment
• Build architecture and technical design documents to communicate solutions that will be implemented by the development team.
• Build High Level Solution Design (HLSD) in support of Enterprise Projects and present HLSD to senior leadership during Capital Assessment reviews.
• Develop proofs-of-concept and prototypes to help illustrate approaches to technology and business problems.
• Prepare visual diagrams of system architecture, functionality, and process flows.
• Work with development, infrastructure, test, and production support teams to ensure accurate implementation of solution.
• Educate organization on available and emerging toolsets.
• Present solutions to clients, project teams, and other stakeholders adapting style to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Bachelor's Degree Technology
• 4-7+ years of experience with enterprise level database systems such as Teradata, Oracle, SQL Server or others, emphasis on Teradata.
• Expertise in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-native technologies such as microservices, containers (Docker, Kubernetes), and serverless computing.
• Knowledge and experience with enterprise architecture, Supply Chain Planning, Order Management, and Warehouse Logistics (Required)
• Knowledge and experience with messaging services, REST, GraphQL, API and File based interfaces.
• Familiarity with all programming languages including JavaScript, Java, .Net, API Gateway, etc. and frameworks like Springboot, Angular, etc.
• Solid experience in system integration between on-premises SAP systems and cloud-native microservices, including API-driven architecture and middleware.
• Experience in designing and implementing hybrid cloud architectures, ensuring seamless interaction between cloud and on-premises environments.
• Strong knowledge of DevOps practices and infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
• Proficient in networking, security protocols, virtualization technologies, and database architecture (especially for SAP and cloud environments).
• Excellent understanding of supply chain management (SCM) and how technology supports end-to-end business processes (order fulfillment, procurement, logistics, etc.).
• Project management skills, including the ability to lead large-scale initiatives and effectively communicate with stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to address complex technical challenges.
