Responsible for the support of the clinical research applications across Temple Health and achieving proficiency of the clinical trials management system and other applications in support of clinical research, Institutional Review Boards (IRB), Grants Administration, and physicians and researchers across the enterprise. Works with management to define and document system scope and objectives based on knowledge of the clinical systems and user needs. Lead or manage components of projects related to system implementation, upgrades, or updates. Develops system specifications, performs system design and executes system test plans. As a subject matter expert, provides operational management pertaining to issues, functionality, modifications, upgrades, and support of the applications throughout their lifecycle. Interacts with vendors to address issues, functionality, upgrades, and licensing Anticipates problems, provides solutions with the necessary priorities, and presents those solutions to IS&T management and clinical research management. Builds relationships with our clinical research partners and presents ideas clearly and concisely.
Education
Bachelors Degree : in MIS, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field / clinical specialty (Required)
Combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Experience
5 Years experience working in and supporting a clinical research environment (Required)
5 Years experience working with an industry standard clinical trials management system (Required)
General experience with system implementations (Required)
General experience with clinical research systems supporting IRB and Grants (Preferred)
