What we need We are seeking a Senior Systems Administrator with exposure to cloud and contrainer technologies to bridge the gap between the daily operations teams and our Dev/Ops as the company begins to focus on these technologies. This role focuses on operational support, automation workflows, and mentoring junior team members to enhance team capabilities with a particular focus on our largest products.
The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise in scripting, automation, and DevOps principles with strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication. They will ensure smooth day-to-day operations while helping improve processes and drive the adoption of automation.

What you'll do - Provide daily operational support for critical products, including our iBanking and INSIGHT/IUX banking platforms, addressing issues and ensuring system stability.
- Conduct thorough testing and validation of automation solutions to ensure quality, efficiency, and reliability.
- Assist with automation development tasks using tools like PowerShell, Python, and C to support larger projects and team initiatives.
- Support deployment pipelines, CI/CD processes, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as GitLab, Ansible and Kubernetes (TKGI).
- Identify issues, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process improvement, providing clear feedback to developers and operations teams.
- Act as a liaison between system administrators and developers, ensuring smooth communication and alignment with goals.
- Mentor and training junior team members on processes, best practices, and tools to promote team growth.
- Document automation workflows, system configurations, troubleshooting steps, and testing procedures for clarity and team adoption.
- Troubleshoot issues across systems, automation workflows, and integrations to support ongoing operations.
- Participate in release management and deployment and an on-call rotation including weekends
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams using tools like Slack and ServiceNow to provide updates, prioritize tasks, and resolve issues effectively.
What you'll bring - Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, a related field or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of experience in system administration, operational support, automation support, or DevOps roles.
- Proficiency in scripting and coding with PowerShell preferred. Python, and C a plus.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and automation tools such as GitLab CI/CD, Ansible, and Kubernetes (TKGI) a strong plus.
- Familiarity with supporting enterprise-level products.
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills in operational systems, automation tools, and API integrations.
- Experience with front-end technologies like Vue.js, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus.
- Proficiency with collaboration tools like Slack and ITSM systems like ServiceNow.
- Proven ability to mentor junior team members and promote team growth.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills with a creative, solution-oriented mindset.
Preferred Requirements/Qualifications: - Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
- Experience with containerization and DevOps principles, including version control and deployment pipelines.
- Familiarity with automation and monitoring tools for financial or enterprise-scale environments.
