POSITION OVERVIEW
Supervise and lead all Field and Control room supervisors, oversight of all concentrator operations (from Crushing to Tailings), interact with all mining departments to ensure company goals and key performance indicators are met.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Achieve monthly compliance with forecasted tonnages, copper grade, and concentrate moisture content.
• Interact with Mine Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, and other departments "as necessary" to assure the monthly milling plan is executed in the most efficient way possible.
• Ensure project work is completed on time to meet Company goals.
• Responsible for all crew's safety and training goals.
• Actively mentor and train subordinate supervisors (Supervisor I - III) to obtain necessary skills to improve and develop their performance over time.
• Ensure required production goals are achieved at the lowest possible cost without sacrificing equipment, safety, or the environment.
• Assure all timekeeping, production, and safety paperwork for all crews is completed correctly and on-time.
• Facilitate daily crew line-out and safety meetings.
• Ensure that all mill equipment is operated in the most productive and cost-effective manner, without sacrificing the safety and health of employees.
• Communicate goals and key performance indicators to subordinate supervisors and employees and monitor their development in accomplishing these goals.
• Administer overtime and absenteeism in accordance with Collective Bargaining Agreement and/or other policies.
• Administer work procedures, corrective action, accountability, department policies, and CBA language.
• Trained on all concentrator's equipment.
• Interact with workforce and Human Resources, Safety, Purchasing, Accounting, etc. to ensure compliance with established company policies.
• Complete project work as directed by upper management.
• Cover supervisor roles "as needed".
• Provide fill-in coverage for General/Senior Supervisor on an "as needed" basis.
• Complete annual performance reviews of subordinate supervisors as required.
• Report to General Operation's supervisor and Mill Manager.
• Model the site and Company values at all times.
• First-aid certification preferred and maintained.
• Responsible for executing, supporting, and enforcing the Company's Environmental, Health and Safety program as required by OIS policy, directives, and principles.
• Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
• MS Office skills in Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint, SharePoint, SAP, and ADP.
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical, Mechanical, Chemical, or Process Engineering with a minimum of 5-years of concentrator experience with 2-years of supervisory experience (preferred) or;
• H.S. diploma with 5 years operational supervisory experience and minimum of 10 years of operational experience in a concentrator.
WORK CONDITIONS
Working conditions include heavy industrial environment. Conditions include extreme temperature conditions, both hot and cold; in and/or around wet environments; walking on slippery and/or uneven surfaces, working in confined spaces; climbing stairs/ladders; walking over rough terrain; and working at heights.
Will have exposure to noise, vibrations, dust, chemicals, also will work alone with minimum supervision.
